im supposed to be getting somwe 15x11 m/t slicks and i was woundering what kind of wheel and do i need a spacer?

Well you are going to need a 15 inch wheel, if you have that what wheel is it to determine spacer/grinding of cailper needed/f-body specific wheel. Whats your setup?

not yey i want to know what wheel i can get so i dont have to grind my caliper or i might see if i can get something good for my stock 16in wheels idk yet. Someone told me the other day when i was at the track that there is a diff cover that puts tension on the carroir to strengthen the diff has anyone used it?

I have a cover like that on my 12 bolt. It is essentially a thick aluminum cover with two studs threaded through from the back. The inside portion of the stud has a swivel plate (very similar to a c-clamp) that presses against the bearing caps. After installing the cover, you torque the studs to 5 ft.lbs. and then tighten the lock nuts.

All this is good, and it certainly provides further support for the bearing caps -- however, the caps aren't really the issue with the stock 10 bolts. The problem is the tiny ring gear that just doesn't have enough meat to take the force of a 3,600 lb. car being launched on sticky tires. Some live and some don't with no real rhyme or reason to it.

so basicicly the cover means nothing to a stock rearend cuz of the ring gears

that's right and the bigger and stickier the tire you put on it is going to make it take a shit that much sooner

Dont waste your time on puting a slick on the car with a 10 bolt or a drag radial if you are going to lauch it like a man. A good wheel that fit with your stock caliper is Bogarts $$$ you also have race star industries,billet specialties streetlites f body specific. the new Weld RT wheel also fits I do believe.

I have more than a few friends that toasted their 10 bolt (myself included - factory 10 bolt = 7.50" ring gear) when using a proper slick...

You are gonna need a much bigger rear end gear, say a 12-bolt (8-7/8" diameter ring gear), 9" (self explantory) or a Dana 60 (9-3/4" ring gear)...

alot of people who post on here have had 555's at some if not presently, myself included. great tire for it's price is the general concensus. for me I love nitto tires and will continue to only use nitto on my car

ive never had nitto but they seem good i am a little concered about price but i know you get what you pay for so i will spend a bit extra but i dont race at the track much and im worryed about breaking my rearend by hooking to hard

Racing cars = broken parts. Not all the time but the law of averages catches up to you eventually.

I've got a small display of parts that I've broken over the last 35+ years.

FWIW, the rear end is the weakest link in our drivetrain. M6 will shock the rearend more than A4 upon a hard launch.
