    Question about balancing tires

I just bought some TTMs and am gonna go get new tires mounted on them. My question is ---is it possible to put the balancing weights on the side of the rim that isnt seen and not have any on the nice chrome side of my new wheels??? Also I got 9x17 wheels all the way around what tire would you go with on those? Does a 275/40/17 sound about right for those wheels?? Thanks------mike

Of course, most shops will not place the weights where they can be seen on custom wheels.

On my last set they used sticky weights on the inside of the rim.

Well I assumed that but believe it or not I got some tires mounted on my weld prostars and some little jerk put weights on the side of my wheels that you can see and he put a big chunk in one. I was like MF!!!! when I noticed it but I had already left the tire place and figured they would say "your wheel already had that chunk out of it". ---------thanks

I think MF was a nice way to put it.

If you have mag wheels and they don't use this type of wheel weights... the tire shop in question DOESN'T know what it is doing!!!!!!!!
