If you want a big lip, Narrow the rear 2 inches and run a 5.5 backspacing wheel.

just gotta figure out the tire situation. there's not a huge difference between 18s and 19s but it definitely is noticeable. granted I don't drive the car every day mostly just to cruise but still

whats the major difference in maintenance between chrome and polished? I never drive the car in the rain and try to wash it as little as possible because I don't want to get it wet because of rusting. It sits in the garage with a car cover on it and I wipe it down every time I drive it. What's type of finish is optimal for me?

With your situation, you could do polished and not hate it.

Polished looks better when cleaned/shined up and you don't have to worry about the chrome ever flaking off. Polished is extremely high maintenance though. I would not have polished wheels on a DD vehicle. I would coat polished wheel with Zoop seal or something similar. Thats what I did with mine.

Chrome is much easier to clean/maintain than polished, much more suited for DD. Chrome is about 75% easier to maintain than polished.

Yea after talking to people, the only way I'll buy polished is if the wheel is sealed (assuming that's effective). How often do you have to wipe/polish your rims to remove any blemishes with them being sealed?

I am not really a good person to ask on that, I rarely drive my car. I am also a detail freak to the extreme. I will say its not nearly as often if they weren't sealed though. The sealant does help in that aspect quite a bit.

Ha sounds like we are pretty similar. I drive mine 2-3 times a week and don't really ever let it sit anywhere. If im not driving it, its in the garage covered. Yea i'm really going to have to think about the whole polished thing. Obviously I would seal them but if I have to polish them I don't want the finish to get scratched.

Mine still look like brand new wheels. The sealant(Zoop) did help mine and its really time to do them again. But at the same token, I have not put 1000 miles on the wheels since they went on the car 3 years ago
