ok i read the sticky on tire size and im still freakin out!!

ok my car (99 trans am) right now has the stock 16's on it with stock size tires the 245/45/16 tires... i jsut got my rims i ordered today off ebay z06 style 18x9.5 all the way around..

they say they fit my car..... the tire size im being told to run is a 275/40/18... are these gonna be a wider tire than i have now??? do you guys think they fit no problem?? will i have speed odometer problems??

please help me guys im goin to get tires tomarrow at discount any cheap good pattern hi traction tires you suggest??

cant wait to see my car tomarrow with the new 18'S~!!

275s are wider than 245s

Your current tires are around 24.6" in diameter(depending on brand) and the 275/40/18 tires would be 26.5" in diameter(depending on brand). Your speedo will be off some.

18x9.5 all around will work fine.

tire rack baby should have them tuesday!!!

should have went 275/35-18. those are the stock height of 25.7" tall and won't affect the speedo, as mentioned in the sticky.

if you read the sticky, you would see the 275/40-18 is not on the list of tire size equivalents.

275/40-18 = 26.6" tall
275/35-18 - 25.7" tall

so, about an inch off. rough guess is going to be about 5 mph off.

OE tire size from the factory is 245/50-16 not 45. someone may have put 245/45-16 on the wheels to have a shorter tire on it.

i looked on tire rack and if i change to the 35's its like 49$ more a tire!!!! besides the speedo will these tires fit and clear on my car ok? will it look ok??

I got the same wheels you got, 4 zo6 18 x 9.5's. The rear bump stop on mine with tires on rubbed, but it did not rub the metal on the bump stop, it has like a foam coating on the end I just took a rasp and took that shit off and it was fine.

youll be `aight..i took off my stockers & put 275/35/18`s on front mounted on 18x8.5 & 295/30/19`s on rear mounted on 19x9.5.the 295`s will work fine on yours aswell,mine fit fine(but some peoples say not to).i love my toyo proxes 4 tires,check them out if youre still unsure on tires.
