OEM Corvette C6 19's

This is a discussion on OEM Corvette C6 19's within the Wheels and Tires forums, part of the General Help category; I just bought a factory set of C6 wheels, 18's up front and 19's on the rear. Now from what ...

    OEM Corvette C6 19's

I just bought a factory set of C6 wheels, 18's up front and 19's on the rear. Now from what I have been able to read/find I just ordered a set of 1.5" hub centric adapters to give them clearance so the tires will not rub. My question is, is that all that is needed to be rolling? I "think" the rear offset is 68mm

If studs don't come with the spacers, you will need longer studs too.

I didn't use spacers, I got 1.5in hub centric adapters (thought the adapter would have a hub lip too but seller was misleading).

They went on great, came with lugs to bolt to axle, and fit perfect!

The wheels, I think, look awesome on the car.

Looks very good. Are you thinkin gof lowering it?? One bad size effect of larger wheels is that they can make the car sit even higher than stock.

Not that bad at all, the tires are about flush with the top of the fender well, and of course stick out some at the bottom but not nearly as much as you would think. These wheels have a HUGE backspacing, they are 10' wide and look like they have a 8" backspace (didn't actually measure them) I'll get some photos of the rear shot up in a little while

Or they make it appear to sit higher. I agree, looks cool but lowering sounds like the plan to have. Nice!

I went with 1" spacers on mine and cut 1/4" off my studs. Kept the wheels in more.

Thanks! It's amazing how much better it looks compared to the "snow flake" wheels.

Looks good, I'm thinking of taking our adapters off and taking them to a local machine shop to get maybe a .25"-.375" taken off. Gotta wait for a dry warmer day to see exactly how much clearance we actually have first though.

I got my 19's on with only a .25" spacer but hammered the hell out of the inner fender. I also had to shave the lips twice. I shaved the lips half off the first time with an angle grinder. then I was furious after the test drive and the tops of the side walls had scrapes. I grinded the lips completely off and it's ok now

ok my wheels are from a 07 vette. they are 18x8.5 front and 19x10 in the rear. i am wanting to run a wide tire, something like a 295/35/19. i dont want to hack the fender at all so with a 25mm spacer i can push them in there? i would like to get into the 300s out back but dont think i can do that without having to cut the fender, do the BFH mod and that fucking pump stop.

if your car is lowered you probably won't have to touch the bump stop.
it really depends on your cars height tho because I know tater cut his out but for mine I didn't have to and we both have 335's in the back.

don't be so against hammering the fender! it gives you an exuse to paint the inside of the fender a better color like black lol.

also, I'm pretty sure (depending on offset) that once you get into the 300mm+ width range it's a good idea to trim the fender lip. just take an angle grinder and grind it off, then seal it and paint it.

in the end NOBODY can tell that you've modified anything unless they were to physicaly take off your wheel and look inside, besides, big fat ass wheels look awesome on our cars
