triple-black- 2000 CamaroSS convertible
those will become my street tires... they are meant to replace the 555RII but reviews seem to indicate they are better.

almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)

When do you think they wil release the 315/35-17?
It was already suppose to be out by now (1st quarter 2007)?

as i said in fraxx. not holding my breath on that... 555RII was supposed to release the 315/35-17 in 2003Q4, then 2004Q2, and so on... each time... it's postponed... and no new sizes were ever made on that tire.
So i'm not holding my breath on it... and decided to go 18s for street w/ R-compounds... and keep the 17s for slicks... got a great deal on Hoosier slicks... so i jumped on it.
As for the Nitto NT-01, it was initially supposed to be 2006Q4... already postponed... the only hope is that other sizes are coming out... so who knows.

those tires aren't for drag... it's meant to replace the 555RII
The 555RII has the exact same thread + compound as the 555R (Drag-Radial) but has a stronger structure inside the tire (extra steel belt)
The 555RII performs as well as the 555R @ a strip... but the NT-01... not sure what the performances will be... yet considering it's better than the 555RII, could be... yet ppl looking into the NT01, are thinking more about handling than straight line... grip while accelerating is not THE criteria, but while turning !!!
I think it should still do decent times on the 60'... but it's not the use for the tire.
