Maybe i was messing something up but i bought some nitto dr's and took them out too the track and almost ate the wall twice. I didnt have one good launch with those tires. Iv got two Dr's with 4 passes on them that will never see track time in my car again. I think i did better with my street tires.
I gave up on them at the track and threw the slicks on and now i have no hooking up issues. It was so bad i couldnt launch over 1500 rpm without spinning out of the hole.
    Just my experiance thou

Can you keep them on you car all the time? Or do you put them on at the races? Can you drive in the rain with them? thanks

There not too bad in the rain and yes you can run them all the time, They will wear down pretty quick but not too awful bad. I would reccomend using a regular radial and switch them out at the track.
    I ran them at 25psi, 20, 16, 12.
    No luck

    huge dilemma

I just got back from the local tire store and am not very happy. I tried to put 17x10.5 on the back of my 98 WS6 and they only cleared by 1/4 inch. Not bad but the 315/35/17 nitto 555's will rub the bump stop for sure. I was assured that they will fit but American Racing was wrong. The tire shop did not reccomend that i put spacers and run longer studs since the car is blown and they said that all the torgue would spin the spacers off (not totally sure i understand that). so now i have to send the 10.5 inch rims as well at the tires.

all you do is take the bump stop off, and (bfh) = big fucking hummer to that area don't send them bac they will fit if 36/ 50 mm backspace. . i promise.

I got 18x10.5's on mine, had to remove the bumpstop, and beat the dog out of my fenderwell with a BFH. The look of the rims was worth it, and the suspension is stiff enough where you don't have to worry about it bottoming out, at least mine never has.

guys, here is my 2000 mile update...

tires are even and still holding tire pressure just fine at 32psi...

i have made (3) 1/8mi passes, and (3) 1/4mi passes in the last month and (at least for me, hooking so much i bog the car and have shitty 60' and 1/4mi times)...

i returned from a trip to Kansas City and back this past saturday (about 1000mi round trip) and the tires held up fine...

if anyone happens to have any questions, let me know. here is the link to my 1/4mi runs...
    1st ever 1/4mi times...

Do I have to remove the Bump Stop when installing 17 X11's with 315/35/17's?

I have SLP lowering springs, and beleive me, my bump stops get a workout sometimes!

i would go ahead and recommend that you remove them, esp if your car is lowered...

its easy to do there are write-ups about removing them all over the place...

You don't understand, if I remove the bump stops, my rear will smash into the frame. That is not a good thing.

wait, you dont have to remove them, you can grind them down/back so that the wheel/tire doesnt come into contact w/the bumpstop. i misread, my bad...

you can keep the bump stop on your car, just grind it back, and then youre good...

    I still have my bumpstops.
    17x11 TTII's with Nitto 315's.

Also run 275/50/15 MT radials without a problem. Dropped with the ProKit.
