did you get 17x11 for the rear only or for the front as well ?
for 17x11, ideally get 315/35-17 and if you'r still using 17x9 or 17x9.5 for the front, stick to 275/40-17.

When you mention Nitto's... it's too vague... they have a big variety of tires... kind of like saying I want a GM car when going to a Chevy dealer... need to give the person more information on the kind of car you want... in this case, what are your tire needs/use ?

Is your car a daily driver and do you take it to the track? If you want a tire that is good at the track and also good around town then id go with the nitto NTO5. Its a new tire from nitto and they can be found at http://www.discounttiredirect.com $212 a tire.

I use Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. alittle expensive at $330 a tire but no complaints and are pretty good at the track and awesome driving around town. I'll be buying a set of nitto drag tires for my rear this summer cause they make a huge difference at the track. For you I would definetely go with the 315 in the rear and 275 set up for the fronts. Don't worry about them fitting, you won't have any problems. Just have to cut out the bump stops on top of the wheel well.

285's will NOT fit the 11" wheel.

Seriously....how many times does it need to be said....

    9.5" wheels = 275/40/17
    11" wheels = 315/35/17

Ya seriously, I don't understand why people are calling Luos an asshole for telling you the truth and pointing out that its been covered plenty of times. What he's saying stands true, listen to him because he's just trying to save you a headache.

You WILL be sorry if you go with 285's in the back with an 11" rim. If you want a tire that looks shaudy, over inflated, bulging, skinny tread which drives like shit and tracks all over the damn road then by all means get your damn 285's but you'll be sorry. Get a proper sized tire for that rim size, if you didn't want to run 315's for whatever fucking reason you shouldn't have bought an 11" rim... if you don't like it sell them they'll go quickly.

    This thread makes me LOL....

OP, I think you should get like some 275-285/40's up front, and 315/35's out back....
    But, that's just my opinion......

    idiot
285's will fit in 11" wheels.
Actually, 275s will properly be mounted on 17x9 to 17x11 wheels... so don't just say something out of the blue, especially after insulting the guy that he should know by now.
If you know so much, you should know that, as you stated, "a size that will fit"... well guess again...

I would install the size you are recommending... but to say that other size don't fit is wrong.
