NE1 Running winters on the stock 16s? suggestions?
Running 18s right now and looking for winter tires for the 01 z 16 rims. Was wonder what size people are running if they are using them? I'm looking to go with a 28 inch tall tire to help raise the car another inch from the way it sits on the sportlines. I may use spacers under the front struts and the rear coils too to help bring it up another 1/2 inch. I was thinking something skinny and tall so like 225/60/16 or so. Not concerned about handling over the winter.

I had 215/55/16 General Altimax studded snow tires for 2 seasons on my Camaro, worked pretty well. Not sure if studs are legal in your area. I could drive 55mph on hard pack snow/icy Alaska roads no problem. Stick to skinnier tires, they cut through the snow a lot better than wide ones.
