    Mutant Tire Blue

I purchased a new set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A's for the Corvette over a year ago. I have tried everything to scrub off the protective blue coating they put on the white lettering. I thought for sure that Bleche-Wite would remove it, but the lettering still has a slight bluish cast to it. Obviously, I do not want to remove the white on the lettering and hesitate to go at it with anything else. Suggestions?

Give it a go with hot water and some dish soap

Did that -- I think with Ajax dish detergent. Water was warm though and not really hot. I can give that another go.

Worth a shot before trying something that might remove the white paint.

I've used brakleen and water. Worked for me. And if I recall, the white lettering is actually the rubber before it is dyed black at the manufacturer.

Been too busy fixing it to wash it.

Next time I wash it, I'll see what I can find in the garage cabinet.

On any other white letter tire I have purchased -- including at least 2 prior sets of Radial T/A's, I have never had an issue removing it.

Use a wire brush. This is the same brush I use on all tires. Works great. The link below takes you to the page, but you need to scroll down to the 71150 Tire Claing Brush, Brass Wire.
