How to make 315's fit your Camaro/Trans-Am with no rubbing

The simple modifications required here take very little time and insure that you won't suffer tire damage/rubbing issues with your new 315's. Some people may never experience rubbing with 315's or say that some brands run smaller than others (Nitto 555's ect). I say just spend the 30 minutes and do it right.

    Tools required:
    -BFH (Big Fing Hammer)
-5" Angle Grinder (picture below)/ Safety Goggles
    -Rubberized Undercoating
    -Jackstand

OPTIONAL- Adjustable Panhard Bar. You will need this if you notice you need to recenter your rear. I recommend getting one anyways.

    PLEASE NOTE

    If you are lowered:
    -Fender rolling may/will be required
-Adjustable Panhard Bar is NOT optional
-Alot of BFH will be required

I believe the Trans-Am has slightly more room in the wheel well than the Camaro, but I recommend taking these precautions anyways.

315 series tires DO NOT fit 9" or 9.5" wheels.

    REAR Only

    10.0" ... +38 to +54 mm .... 275, 285, 295
    10.5" ... +38 to +50 mm .... 285, 295, 305, 315
    11.0" ... +45 to +56 mm .... 305, 315, 335

Some have used the +38 offsets with an 11" wheel but it does stick outside the fender and is definitly not recommended on lowered vehicles. +50 and +56 are the two most common. +50 is the better fit (for the ZR-1 replica).

well, this is awesome because i am wanting to put some on some zr1's.
Sorry to just jump on this thread, but i have a question.

What would be the best tires to run for grip on the road but also be able to push in the turns for th 17x11's??
I am looking at pushing around six to the wheel and more if i need to kill a pest on the go.
