    Fitting corvette wheels

I have corvette wheels with spacers that were on the car, the car had a big wobble and vibration at about 50-55mph. I took the wheels off recently and put the stock ws6 wheels back on and took the spacers off and the whole vibration went away. I did notice too that the wheels rubbed on the inside wall of the wheel wells. Is there anyway i can fit the corvette wheels on it WITHOUT spacers and not have that devastating vibration that is about to rattle ur teeth out?! would i have to cut some stuff? I love these wheels and dont want to get rid of them but i cant stand the vibration.

What kind of wheels/tires are you running that you need spacers? Spacers suck unless the tires are balanced and they are installed just right. Check with a tire shop that you trust, they should be able to help you out. Good luck, bigger wheels and tires are a PITA sometimes. I was running 18" 315's on my 98 WS6 and I eventually ended up just beating the wheelwell with a rubber mallet so they fit without spacers.

i just beat the inside of the wheel well up a little. It comes so close to fitting but then it hits the rear bumper stop thing on the top (rubber piece that keeps the body from smashing the frame when bottomed out).

You could try some hub centric wheel adapters to take out the vibration and it is possible it's not the adapters at all and you just need to have the rear tires balanced. How worn are the tires?

You have the 19's which is part of the problem. You would be able to fit a little bit wider tire on there with a smaller rim. 295 is the widest you can run that doesn't rub on the F body.

Do a search for "Hub Centric" wheel adapters on ebay and several will show up. I was a little disappointed that the ones I got were hub centric but didn't have the hub lip on the adapters for the wheels to rest on. That is a question to be sure and ask the seller.

Blainfab.com has your spacers. I run 315's all around when I race, 1/2 spacer in the rear and 5/16 in the front. You'll need to swap the studs to run a 1/2 spacer.

i just checked out those, and i already have those, my whole point was to NOT run spacers at all, to be flush without having those in there.
