    Firestone Firehawk Wide ovals

    Anyone had good luck with the Firestone Firehawk Wide ovals? Looking on tirerack I noticed they are rated highly by customers. Looking for a good everyday tire but don't want to spend $1000 on Goodyears. Thoughts?

    I like michelin pilot sport's or goodyear's gsd-3's. Have you looked at the BFG kdw's? I have run those and they are nice. Till they harden up.

    I've ran the wide ovals on a different car and was not to impressed with them. I also didn't like the SP9000's that alot of people seem to love. I like my gs-d3's and would give the BFG KDW or the pilot sport ps2 a try. There is alot of tires that people over rate and other rip on just because they don't run the right PSI/sizes for their cars. I still read their stuff, but don't just go by the reviews. Depending on what size tires you want to run there maybe other options also.

    I've got a set on mine. I don't think they hook as well as other tires i've owned. Other than that I like them very much. They seem to wear well, and handle rain pretty well also...
