Hi-po was also telling me that I should try feathering the clutch out some with using the Nitto Dr's.

I was dumping it, which was causing a lot of bad wheel hop.

Ultimately, I want to be running M/Ts or straight slicks to test this 9" out.
what are your suspension mods ?

^ depends completely on your suspension ...when you say "can't hook" what do you means ..as in does it hop or just burn through..also i could have sworn you had a full suspension ..oh well

id also be curious on what psi you are running and what you are doing in the burn box.

This is on the street. I have stock suspension currently and I'd do a nice burnout for about 5 seconds or till i see smoke. I'd run 18psi.

Of course this isn't the track, but it's on good cement. Better than asphalt.

SS4000 2.6 STR is what makes me spin. I'll launch at idle or 2000 RPMS. It just spins a tich on the launch, but doesn't grab till 4-5k RPMS. It still moves out decently, it's just not a dead hook.

I'm gonna go with some UMI LCA's and go from there.

sounds good ..just remember ..a properly set up suspension will get more power to the wheels and make a tire that is moderate, bad due to more power being pushed to it ....but for sure get some umi lca's..adjustable i hope..and get some relocation brackets ..with that some good shocks and springs and a torque arm you should be able to get torque to the wheels..then it's up to the tires to do the rest

In the spirit of keeping faster than my friends, how would you guys compare a stock tire size DR versus one with a little more sidewall, maybe on a 16" rim or whatever will fit on the back of our cars? I'm pretty sure I just viewed a "For Sale" thread for 15" rims, but the caliper and bracket had to be clearanced for them to fit. I just think that a dedicated set of track wheels and tires is the way to go for me as it's 110 miles to the closest track.

That was going to be my next mod. I am going to try M/Ts first though to get a good idea of where I really am.
