ET Street Radial or NT555R?
So im trying to figure out what the best DR i can get. The car is my DD and it does see rain, i know that the Nittos can handle rain, how bout the ET's? I run the regular NT555 street tires right now, cut a 1.82 60' with em, but i need a drag tire!
Also the ET's are cheaper. Suggestions?
275/40/17 is what im going to get.

red with black stripes- 2002 Trans Am WS6
if that is for both its good. about what i paid for mine. i got minne from american muscle since one of my friends had a discount code from the mustang forum. with the discount i got them for 300-310 shipped.
im cammed, 3500 stall, 3.73 gears, and rear suspension. i launch about 2000 rpm or a little higher. i drop the pressure down to around 20psi. i do a nice burnout before the line.

Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
My car makes a decent amount of power....and is a manual.
I have cut 1.86's on the Nitto's.
I have cut 1.69 on the MT radials.
Spinning to 1.67 on the Hoosier QTP's.
Nitto's are the only drag radial I would drive in the rain.

I can cut a 1.75 60' on the regular nitto street 555's.. so im sure i can get a low 1.6 on the R's
I can get the 555R for 159 each, or the ET for about 200 each.. so im still looking.

I would watch any DR on the street and no way I'd want caught in the rain with MT's. I about lost my car several years ago when I got caught in a rainstorm with nitto's. Just cruising along at 55 and the backend jump out from under the car. They had some miles on them, ~10k I think so they were getting close to done.
As far as at the track I've cut a 1.71 on Nitto's and a 1.6x with MT's. Had a line lock with the MT's but not the nitto's.

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
for you op i would suggest the nittos ..they are the only DR i know that can handle street decently ..at the track..drop the psi to 15 and light them up good for the best times...BUT MAKE SURE YOU UP THE PSI before you leave if you can.

I can't hook with the 555R's, decided to do a few suspension upgrades and we will see.

Thanks. I plan on getting back out this spring. I went late in the year so I am thinking the track conditions and weather weren't ideal for me as well.
Hi-po was also telling me that I should try feathering the clutch out some with using the Nitto Dr's.
I was dumping it, which was causing a lot of bad wheel hop.
Ultimately, I want to be running M/Ts or straight slicks to test this 9" out.
