What backspacing (mm) are you guys running with the 17x11's? Also, 335's?? I thought 315's had enough issues involving rubbing. What do you guys do to make those even bigger tires (335) fit? I might have to sell my 315's...... Any chance of these bigger wheels going into a slightly lowered 93' Camaro (1 inch drop from factory)?

BIG CAVEAT: the bigger tires help it to hook up much better. From the factory either wheel spin or the TCS would lessen the amount of force that the stock rear would have to endure. When you increase the traction it increases the force on the stock rear and increases the chances of grenading the rear. Trust me- I had the rear rebuilt back in November of 2009, put the 315's on in July of 2010, and split the posi in half two weeks and a few good launches later.
Would this also cause a pinion seal leak? I as as I run 275s on my 18s and had my old carrier rebuilt last April. It was reinstalled in July and as of November, my carrier has a pinion seal leak.

Pinion seal leak can be caused by stress placed on the pinion, improperly aligned pinion seal, or a number of other factors. Did who ever that you had do the install warranty the parts or labor?

There is not a lot of work to get 315 35 17's on 17x11 ZR1 (50mm offset) to fit.

1.) Grind the nub / bump on the spindle
2.) Install ARP longer wheel studs
3.) Install a wheel spacer, hubcentric is highly recommended but not required. The 5 of us are running 1/8" or 1/4" spacers on the front.
4.) There may be some tire rub at full turn, but with Nitto NT05's it is minimal enough that you can barely see the rub mark on the tires.
5.) To figure out how much spacer to use you can install washers behind the wheel or borrow a spacer and using feeler gages measure the clearance between the wheel and the spindle. I read that approx 0.125" is recommended and you can go down to 0.100". This is assuming that your hubs and other front end parts are in good condition.

It was easier than I thought it would be. We get lots of compliments and questions on how we got 315 35's to fit on the front.

315's on the front is crazy! cool nonethe less tho! to make my 335's fit in the rear i had to hammer the wheel well, grind some of the bump stop's and install tubular lca's. took some time mainly putting the tire back on test drive, jack up car take tires off, see the black rubbing marks, repeat.

I got 11.5 inch rims on a 50mm offset, 10.5 inch rims with 335s is really pushing it imo.
I had to hammer the hell out of my fenders, cut tthe bump stops off, roll the lips on the quarters, adjustable panhard/lcas, and more hammering. My car is also lowered on stranos

yea i found out too late that 10.5's were a risk. so far holding up well. I'm not gonna roll my fenders until I lower it. I did take off my bumpstops for now. I'll put them back on once I lower it, as it sits right now they don't clear the tire/rim.
