    Corvette 18" Y2K's on Z28

What is the largest size Rear tire that I can run on a 9 1/2" wheel without doing any modification to my 98 Z? The rims are 9 1/2" Y2K's with 245/40/18 front and 285/35/18 rear. I need 275's on the front, the 245's don't feel out the rims.

most would go 285/35/18 on the rears, but you could probably go 295 without issue

I have some 18x9.5"s on the way. I'm going to go with 275/35 on all 4. There are a lot more tires available (cheaper prices) for 275 vs 285. Plus a 275/35 will have an almost identical height to stock tires.

If you're trying to get the phat tire look, 285's will work fine, 295's might have a bulged look, but nothing serious. I wouldn't go any bigger.

295s will fit fine on the wheels. You may have to buy an adjustable PHR if the tires rub on either side.
