Considering Fuzion tires. Any thoughts???
I have a 01 Z28 with 43K. Its basically stock. I am considering purchasing a set of Fuzion ZRI 245/50/16. Any thoughts?? We drive mostly in town and my wife has only two speeds. Stop and GO! I want the marriage of some quality with a lower price. I don't like hard rubber tires that sqwauk around corners and I don't like soft rubber that burns off. I know that sounds contradicting.
Last set of tires were Falken Ziex ZE-512. After 13K they are burned off. I would like at least 20K out of tires. I have looked at numerous tires and numerous reviews. Talk to me. What's crap and what works well for Z28's? Feel free to make other suggestions. What do you guys recommend?

I never had them but a friend of mine works for firestone put a set on his newer monte ss and the car will not smoke them anymore so I know they hook pretty good. They suck in winter though. You can take this info for what it is worth.

Alot of reviews I read show plenty of ls1 (mostly vette and camaro) owners happy with them. I guess I worry because the falken's were cheap and handled great until they burned off so damn fast. I will most likely go with the fuzion. idk.

I have fuzions on mine and liked them. My problem now is I have too much power for them, I can roast them right off now.

Monterey Maroon Metalic- 2000 Z28
Right now I'm running Fuzion HRi's (performance all season) and they definitely hook up better than what I had before (Coopers something or other). I'd say the ZRi is a much better performance tire. Fuzion is a Bridgestone brand from what I understand. Fuzions use the same compound as Potenzas so I'd say they are going to be very good, especially for the $$$. I would have bought ZRi's for my summer wheels but they don't make a 295

I had no idea Fuzion was made by Bridgestone. That makes me feel better already. I have had and been impressed with Bridgestone in the past. Good traction but they don't burn off like a Goodyear tire.

I had to do some research just to make sure. Bridgestone, Firestone, and Fuzion are all the same company. This is an article published November 2, 2004... http://www.bridgestone-firestone.com...d=2004/041102f
"...The Fuzion HRi is being introduced by Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BFNT) at the (Specialty Equipment Market Association) SEMA Show today."
Don't get too upset about the article stating that marketing is focused on tuners.
Bottom line, Fuzions are good tires made by a reputable company.

Okay so I feel confident to buy the Fuzion but now I read another thread that talks about Kumho Ecsta ASX. Its an all-season tire. Would I gain tire life but sacrfice performace? Out of these two which would you chose?
