    Clear Powercoat New Polished Wheels?

I work at a O'reilly auto parts.. One of my friend who helps all the commercial customers told me that when I buy my new TT2's that I should send them and have them powder coated Clear. Said he saw a polished wheel in a magazine that had this done and never lost its finish... Has anyone heard of this or ever did it?

No but here is a pic of my intake with clear powder on it. granted the intake was not high polished but it was cleaned with a bead blaster and here you can see the results. It's not quit clear, gives it a gray look.

I know what Aluminum looks like after it has been bead blasted... And it doesn't look gray like that.. So it changed the color?

Yes it did. as you can see in the pic, the carb base is bare. the rest is clear on top of that.
