Chrome rims maintenance
I'm getting some tripple plated chrome cragar rims and i was wondering if anyone has had problems with maintaining them.
i've heard that if you let water pool on the lip, it will eat the chrome off. I have chrome polish i'll be using on them each time i wash my car (2-3) times a week. I use it on my exhaust tips and it really makes them shine.
any thing else that i should do to my rims to insure a good shine other than keeping them polished.
PS: any one with chrome rims, does highway driving and road dirt chip them badly, how easily does chrome chip?
thanks in advance, sorry for all the questions, ~~Jeff

they pic up a loy of brake dust i reccommend clean them every other day if you drive a good amout. the dust will get in the caracks then you can't get it out. the it turns to rust. i have the old style craggars.

sorry to highjack your post, but I was looking at the Z06 aftermarket chrome rims. Are these worth buying? Does anybody have good or bad stories about them?

keep um clean is the best advice.and towel dry, also with the craggars, the center cap is hard to keep clean it hasthe blue on it, if you do wax your rims which i do once a year. do not get wax in the center cap is will not come out easy. hope this helps thanks jeremy

For me, the best maintenance for chrome wheels is to get rid of them. I hate chrome wheels; way too gaudy for me.
