Chrome Peeling on Rims HELP!

Is there anything I can do about the chrome on my rims peeling? I seem to get some chipping and peeling and I was wondering if there was anything I can do to fix/prevent any more damage. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Well I can tell you i've had this on two set's of rims so far. I first noticed mine started peeling a few years back, managed to get them covered under warrenty (Might want to try the same if you're still covered).

Low and behold after a year and half roughly the new set has just started doing this. I'm assuming the rims are getting over-heated due to the small gap between the rim and the caliper.

Anyway,,, the only other thing I could suggest would be to have them re-chromed

I'm going to end up replacing mine, i'm sick of this issue.

The same thing started to happen on one of mine. I looked into having them rechromed. First it was going to take 6 weeks and cost around 250 per rim. what the heck was I going to do until then? Ouch!!!

I then found one of our members selling the same set I have with no scratches or peeling. They polished up nicely! I got all four rims for $350. Problem solved!!!

2 weeks after I picked mine up from the dealership brand new a huge chip popped off of the chrome.. two of the rims had to be replaced .. It was a badly done chroming job from SLP.. covered under warranty luckily..
