    Can it be done

I'm buying two stock rims off a member on this site with the intentions of having them turned into 11inch rims so they can hold 315's. I know i saw a member on here with it done, but has anyone else heard of this being done? Can it be done?

i had 305s on 9.5 inch wheels. it should work. you could just buy my set of 4 old c5 vette wheels and run 305s.......

thing is i want to keep the stock look and i think it would be unique to make the stock rims 11 inches....

i was just looking at doing this... it is 450 shipped for 2 rims from weldcraft ....and about 150 + 15 per rim from stocktonrims ..you should also look into wheels america since they are in your state ...be warned tho ..your offset will change due to them adding width from the middle or the back.

I've seen weld craft's work and it's top notch. I can't say anything for the other vendors but I would imagine you get what you pay for.

You'll need to run spacers and longer studs. You'll also need the BFH mod on the inside of the wheel wells.

its basically what you would have to do anyways for a large rim. minus the spacers and longer studs

I'm not talking about rolling the lip or touching it at all.....I'm talking about smacking the inside of the wheel well with a hammer for clearance. There plenty of pics on this site of people that have done it.

It'll rub a bit. Some say they never had to do anything and it never rubs, others claim they had to use the hammer method. Honestly, I'd rather use the hammer and have the clearance when I hit one of our nasty NY potholes.

I usually go out to Montauk for Stripers. I'm actually looking to do a tuna trip if the fishing picks up this year.
