I didnt get rivets either but they're still a pain to get clean. I hand wash, spray down with mothers polish, and hand wax them, so its rather time consuming. Would be easier with C6s. Even still, i love my z06s.

I say C6 wheels, you see the C5 Z06 wheels so much it's not even funny, I don't like the C6 Z06 wheels either.

Most wheels do look good on TA's. I guess it takes some effort to make one look bad.

I changed my mind and decided to be a bit more realistic and go with exactly what you got. Can I see some pics though? I want to be able to rotate the wheels.

make sure you use 400 and 800 grit wet sand paper. keep the area wet, go side to side following the contour of the head lights. don't sand the inside of the lenses though. that's what i did, and they didn't turn out so great.

i was lucky enough to pick up a set for $100 from a guy on ls1tech that were damn near perfect. then i just followed it up with the "whistler mod" if you search, you'll find the directions.the guy posted it on cardomain. good shit.

I got 600, 1000, 2000, rubbing compound, polishing compound, clear coat (all left over from the VHT job)

I'll try that in the spring, it's going into storage. They should look great.

Did you take out your headlights, cuz I'll probably do that if it's not too hard. I'll be doing the whistler mod as well. Appearance wise I'll be good, performance...eh I'll get to it

yeah, you gotta take them out. and it's pretty cake. if i remember it's only two or three bolts that keep em in. and i would just go with the 600 and 1000 grit. and polish, and polish, and polish.. you get the point. again, don't do the inside of the lens.

Give this a try- squeeze a little toothpaste (white stuff, not the gel) on a rag and rub that out on your headlights. Might work to clear your haze.
