To run 315s you would have to be on 11s but I think the widest you could safely go is 10.5 and i see lots of BFHing

11" wide is an option, and it has been dome, but all i can find is people using 1" spacers

No pic, but I am running 18" wheels, 9.5" wide with a 56mm offset.

I guess its because you got a big offset
    Fronts and rears the same?

    Yep, same all around.

I should have got a 40mm offset, which is what the Corvettes use. That would have gave me enough clearance to run the fronts without spacers and still clear the calipers. Live and learn

To run 315s you would have to be on 11s but I think the widest you could safely go is 10.5 and i see lots of BFHing
315 on 10.5 works well for a stock-height car. Lowered I don't know. 295s on 10.5 would be wise in case you change your mind and roll the lips for 315s later.

how many inches are we talking between a 315 and 295.....i know its probably not even a full inch but how much are we talking? 1/2''? 1 inch?
Tire widths are measured in millimeters. 25.4mm=1 inch. So the difference between a 295 and a 315 should technically be about .8 inches. However due to the lack of consistency between manufacturers and tires, it could be a little more or a little less.

thanks for the info man, so it woul safer to go with 315's on 11'' rims

I've heard some people say that a 315 on a 10.5 tucks better in the rear than a 315 on an 11. A technical write-up a few years back in GM High-Tech Performance Magazine backs that up. Some people report more issues with rub with the same tires mounted on an 11" as opposed to a 10.5". And there is no reason not to go with a 10.5, as it doesn't compromise safety in any way and unless you are going to campaign the car avidly in autocross, road racing, or drifting, you won't notice any difference. The 10.5 will probably be more friendly for drag racing too, due to less sidewall stretch, but once again, unless you are competitively trying to drop tenths off your ET, you aren't likely to detect any difference in performance whatsoever. Either one is functionally fine and perfectly safe, but 10.5s have a reputation for stuffing better. Plus you could put a smaller tire on the 10.5 if you wanted to, while in the case of the 11 you are pretty limited to a 305-325 unless you want to go for the Euro look sidewall stretch. I would personally go with the 10.5.

I know I had to do a roll on my fenders with a 1.2 drop for the rear, I running the new BMR's w/ AGX's and my 18x10 w/ 275/35R18's rubbed on big dips and potholes unless I turned the rear to the stiffest setting. Bottomed the rear on dips in the road when taking sharp turns at 70+.

How about a 305/45/18 on Z06 replica wheels +56mm offset? Will they fit with any problems?

Think you're gonna have to do some hammering and/or grinding
    That offset is pretty big
