Best wheel for 18 by 9.5 rims (stock C5)

I've still got the factory run flats on my 00 C5, which I think suck when it comes to jumping off the line, I'd like to keep the stock wheels and a good ride, what tires will grip better than the goodyear runflats, I'd like streat legal drag radials, I found some 285/35/18 nitto 555r at discounttire.com, the OE is 275/40/18. will the tire fit and drive good? I've got a 13.0 and I'm hoping to getting into the high 12s, so close but just can't shave that .05 off on the factory tires.
