Best Tires for a 2002 Trans Am WS6

I don't know a lot of cars and my gpa got this for me a few months ago but the tires on it are horrible. It rains/snows here a lot and it cannot handle the weather conditions. Are there any good tires out there that can handle any kind of weather and fast speeds? If so I would appreciate the help. Thanks! And sorry for being a car noob. A Firebird was my first car so my gpa thought I would enjoy this as my college car.

Continental Extreme DWS if I recall correctly, Kumho Ecsta ASX, Goodyear Eagle GT comes to my mind. Others will chime in.

The Continental Extreme DWS are my choice living in NJ and having four legit seasons of weather. I love them. However, they would't be a first choice for track duty or situations where you need a real sticky compound. But for every day, turn key rubber, I don't think you can beat them.

I live in Kansas so it pretty much rains through Spring/Summer/Fall and then its pretty snowy for winter. Whatever the tires I have on now are have little to no traction in rain or the snow lol. And I do like to race at the lights once in a while but my tires can't grasp to the road if I gun it if that helps describe the current situation at all. I don't plan on doing drag strips or anything though.

I'd say BFG KDW's for the summer, they look awesome and hook very well, and they do great in the rain! If you are driving in the winter, I recommend swapping those out for Bridgestone Blizzak's.. I still have my KDW's on, haven't had to change them out all season. With the little snow we had they did alright with 60lbs in the back of the car.

The best tires for a ws6 are Mickey Thompson drag radials. Get a beater for bad weather.

I also run the Continental Extreme DWS on my daily driver which is an Impala LTZ. So far, I love how they handle in the winter. Everything I've read about them online prior to purchasing them were positive reviews.

Traction loss is pretty indicative of any rear wheel drive car with power when it comes to driving in the snow/rain.

This. Instead of spending $1000 for some quality tires, get a beater for those crappy days. Then, spend some good money on summer performance tires, so you can drive it all the time and not have to worry about the extreme tires like DRs.

I'm partial to Bridgestone RE 760s, or Firestone Wide Oval Indy 500s. But these won't work in winter.

I run BFG g-force sports, they are cheap and they look good. As for traction I couldn't tell you, I can't even hook on the street with my track set up (Mickeys and pro stars)

I've used both Kumho Ecsta ASX's and AST's. They're both good all weather tires. I don't think the AST's are available in the factory size for you but Kumho also has the Ecsta 4x tires which are rated better than the ASX's in dry and wet traction.
