    Balanicing slicks

I got some 15 inch prostars with some M&H slicks on them. Well everyone knows you got to grind your calipers down to fit them. Well I had the slicks balanced and they put the little stick on weights on the inside of the rim.. Well they are rubbing on the TOP of the caliper.. Just wondering if anyone runs their slicks unbalanced? These are track only slicks.. Should I just get the old style weights on them?

My slicks arent balanced yet, I did go out to the track last weekend and they did good, no shacking or anything. But im still gonna balance em, just in case (i could do it free at school, so why not)

    I had this problem.

Took the wheels back and told them to do it the way I asked for the first time.....

    I never balance mine.

The reason being, unless you're running rim screws then theres a good chance that the slick will spin on the rim just a little bit, thus changing your balance.

if its more than 1 oz i would leave them on, if not i wouldnt worry about it. i had to do something similar on mine, theyre 17's and the sticker weight would hit the (i think) upper a arm, so i took a razor and cut a little bit of the weight, just enough to clear.
