    Anyone with 285/40/ 17 pics on 17x9.5 rims ?

    Hey Guys,
I've been running the stock size tires(275/40/17) since I've bought my SS back in 2002 . I just want to make it look a little wider and I would like to see a few pics of rides with the 285's on them. So if you got'em, post'em up ! Thanks in advance . I don't if that the right size or not thou. Please correct me if I'm wrong. 285/40/17 or 285/35/17 ....which one is right ?

Why go with the 285's, the selection is very limited and I think you will only get another 1/4" of tread. 275's are cheaper and you will have more selection. JMHO.

Good luck with the $$ cost $$ of these.
    275 X 40 X 17's are $900.00 - $1,000.00 for 2 in my area.
I just replace a couple and this is the average cost.
I did manage to keep it in the low 900.00 range after a lot of shopping around.
Regardless, it's only money, go for it.

I had 285 40 17 michelin pilots on my SS. Brand new I only paid $500 for all four including mount and balance. Although I do have a tire guy who always hooks me up.
