    Air pressure

    I just put some 17X9.5" rims with 275/40-R17. being my car came with 245/50/16 i dont have the sticker to show the air pressure for the 275/40/17. im driving 500+ miles tomorrow, going to dc for the 9/11 remembrance ride.

    i am searching for it now, but im in a little bit of a rush so any help would be awesome.

    found a post by mrr23 saying 30 for 275/40/17.

    im running the cheep sumitomos hrz11's i think, $89 from tirerack, assuming this is correct unless someone else chimes in.

    That's a little much, to much will give you a balloon effect. I run 30-33... But I hear 28-31 is optimum.

    WHOA!!! You shouldnt run that! That is the max a tire can hold. When you are driving the heat of the street heats up the air in the tire thus increasing the PSI. You are REALLY close to blowing your tires while driving.


    32 PSI is good for almost ALL tires.

    32 PSI is good for almost ALL tires.
    Also makes your tires shape like a balloon, or motorcycle like tires (minute). That will worsen the handling and cause body roll.
