anyone know where I can get new CHROME ws6 rims 98 to 2000 style? lakeshore had them on their website but I cant seem to connect to it; need help guys. I have a 02 nbm ws6 41k mi. thx

I think they only came in chrome on the 96/97 WS6's. After that they're just polished with a clear coat over them.

nope, i bought a brand new set from slp in 2000. chrome was an option from 97 till they stopped putting them on the cars in what... mid 01?

i picked up the set from SLP for under $1k and that was a great deal in those days. wish i could get a new set again

now you have me wondering if the chrome ones i got from slp were left over from 96/97

I thought they were polished and cleared with the newer style fatter spoke, Speedline, wheels.

The thinner spoked 17's were chrome. Usually referred to as the 98-00 WS6 wheels.

Thx for trying to help; I was considering some I force wheels from Schott. They have them in 17x8 and 17x10. Will my stock 275/40/ZR17 tires fit a 17x10 rim ok? I think I have read on here that they will. Appreciate the info. thx

They should. I believe the factory WS6 wheels are 17x9.5.

Factory wheels are 17x9". Not 17x9.5". The 98-00 WS6 wheels are not chrome. They are polished aluminum with clear over them.

Is this for sure? I knew the speedlines where polished but always thought the 98-00 ones were chrome.

98-2000 were polished. SLP sold some aftermarket chrome ones for a while.

yep.... I stripped the clear off of mine and really brought them up good with all the mops and whatnot

The chrome wheels were 16" on most of the other birds. WS6 cars got polished 17" as a part of the WS6 package. Also the thin spokes went into the early 2001 model year.
