    315's or 275's

I want to get some 315's Nitto's for the rear of my WS6 Trans Am..Will they fit with no problem or do I have to alter something? How about the offset and aspect ratio?

How wide are your wheels? I think you need at least 10.5" wide wheels to SAFELY run 315s, and that requires a little grinding of the bump stop to make them fit.

I've seen 315's installed on 9" wheels but it is unsafe and not reccomended

I have an 11" wheel which required cutting back the bump stop. I believe Luos is running 315's on his TTII's without any bumpstop mod. All depends on your offsets.

how much offset do you need? Im eyeing a set of Grandsport zr-1s . 17x9.5 fronts and 17x11 rears and 315 tires.

Here's a link to the one I purchased (hope I can link this). It requires the bumpstop mod, and now that it's lowered I need to roll the fenders. Good wheel though.

I have had them for 8mo before lowering and as long as you jack the car up from the rear axle, no problems. I actually find this method easier, since I have SFC installed and jacking from the sfc lifts half the car.

it's 315/35-17... it will have the exact same overall diameter as the stock tires.
I race w/ the 17x11 ZR1 +50mm offset on all corners... used to have them on the street too.

    almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)
