    That can be done.
I looked into it for my stockers. Prices are high though. $240 a wheel or so...

Too wide of a tire. They don't bead correctly....and can basically pop off the wheel.

It'll probably end up costing you a bunch more to replace the messed up wheel you're about to get. I ran a 295 on a 10" wide rim. Get yourself a nice set of 275's and be done with it. You'll be able to get a better tire in 275 than 315 for the same price.

Go for it if you want. Dont say we didn't warn you. Like Mr. Luos said, its unsafe...very unsafe. Just because everyone else is doing it doesn't make it safe. I wouldn't run the risk of it but its your car, your life, and your money. If your going fast and that bead pops off along with your tire, hang on is all I can tell you

I have 315's on a 17x9.5 rim It might not be safe but I've been doing for over a year now and that was before i joined this site and heard it was unsafe but my tires have held up great so idk. My tires are Nitto 555's and supposedly they run thinner than other tires so maybe that's why they fit?

They do run thinner. Dont quote me, but I think the Nitto 315 is like a regualr 295 tire. So that may be why. Good looking T/A by the way

If you push it and put the 315 on the 9.5" wheel....you will have LESS contact patch (where the rubber meets the pavement) when properly inflated than a 275 or 285 tire would.

OP if you really wanna get 315's your gonna have to go with nitto 555's cause i doubt any other tire will fit

more realistic but let me put it to you this way, people put 295s on a 10.5" rim, maybe they'll go 305s. If you're getting mew rims, why not find some 11s if you wanna run 315s?

my vote is get the 10s and you can run 295s
Still a wide tire and it's much safer
