    sidewall should be 3.927 inches each, and that should be a 25.85 inch tall tire, if you went with a 285/40 it would be 4.48 inches each and a 26.9 inch tall tire, or if you went to a 295/35 could have a 4.06 sidewall and a 26.129 inch tall tire, i like the 295/35 the best and thats what im running, hopefully all of this is correct

    easy to calculate.
    tire-size = 285/35-18
    sidewall = 35% of 285mm = 99.75mm sidewall = 3.927"
    (remember that 1" = 25.4mm)

    David is correct with his #s

    And for Overall Diameter (OD), it's the wheel size + 2x sidewall (top and bottom).
    In this case, 2x 3.927" + 18" = 25.85"
