    26 vs 28 ET Street

ok right now im running a 26" ET Street out back. im having to shift into 4th before i cross the line. if i jump up to a 28" will that get me across without the extra shift? im running 4.10 gears if that maters. will a 28" fit my car without having to modify any? thinking maybe going with a 27" to be safe. car is a 2000 Firehawk. wheels will be BS street lights 15" x 10". already have the fronts.

    Sadly now demodded :(

If you're an A4 you shouldn't be shifting it at all. The computer can be changed to have it shift where you want it to.

If an M6 you'd like to have the car crossing the line at close to your max rpm in 4th (1:1 gear).

Choose tire diameter based on this (close to max rpm at finish line).
    67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...

2005 Corvette LS2/M6 Magnetic Red Metallic (What else would it be?) w/ Cashmere interior

    2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.

im a M6 car. its almost making the 1/4 in 3rd without shifting. like maybe 50 to 75 feet. im trying to keep from shifting into 4th. figuring the extra shift is taking a few 10ths off.

You're supposed to shift into 4th.
