255/50/16 on stock 16" rim.. Bad idea?

I have a 1998 T/A with the stock 16" rims. It's going to be lowered 1.5" soon, and I was wondering what size tires I should run. Should I just stick with 245/50/16, or would 255/50/16 be better? I don't want any rubbing or clearance issues, that's why I'm worried. Any thoughts? (Tried searching, but nothing came up..)

I'm sure there is at least ONE person on here that can tell me if 255/50/16 tires are safe to run on stock 16" rims with no rubbing issues..
