    Curious mrr23,

Did you do ANY suspension mods to your car?
I too don't like the idea of lowering my car, but wouldn't mind some better handling.

Also, I'm 41, and will be looking into getting neons, just like they way they set a car off.
Always felt a little jealous when I see a car with them.
And no one can argue, it draws the eye.

I just noticed your in Orlando, do you do subframe connectors at your shop?

my bet is he spent a lot more than that, considering a set of HRE 547R 19s (13 out back, 10 up front) is more than 5 grand, and those are 22x12 Davins out back with 20s up front!

Damn, sure is a lot of haters in here.

    19x10 all around. 285/30/19 front. 295/30/19 rear.
They bolt on easy, no rubbing and yes, you can still lower the car.

Hey there buddy, I love the style of those 19" wheels..differant!. Really sets your car apart from the rest.
Anyhow, what brand are those wheels and did you have them powder coated?
Also what tire sizes are you using with your set up?

Personally I don't like anything more than 17" wheels on the 4th gens.
Some of the 18's look good.

I prefer sidewall, but I am also much more performance minded than looks....

Since my swap from 17's to 19's I feel the high speed stability and feel have improved a noticable amount, while cornering ability feels about the same. It might be less, but not that I can feel. Ride quality is also about the same.

as far as high speed goes i agree I felt more comfortable in my *gasp* 20's than I did on the stock 16's, but 1/4 mile and braking definitely got affected by the swap, which is why im going with 18's maybe 19/18 combo

No but seriously, I'd like to probe your thinking. What is it about a huge wheel like this that you think looks good on your car? Because I think it ruins the vehicle. You think it makes it better. Explain please?
Why does anybody need to explain their taste to you? You sound like the damn rim police. If he/they/anyone like it, it's their business. End your "Better have rims just like me, and all the rest" crusade.

I agree with Michaelinchains completely, get whatever you want, and don't pay any attention to whatever anyone else here, or anywhere else has to say. Although there's a long boring story behind my 20's all the way around my ride (305/20 ) with chromed Z06 rims, I get compliments on them all the time. I'm also sure alot of people think the car looks ridiculious too. As for rubbing, sure they did, but like alot of things we do to our cars, it required a bit of blood, sweat, and swearing to get them to fit, and not rub. If the car wasn't lowered 1.8" it wouldn't have been such an issue. Would I have picked 20's if I was walking into a tire/wheel shop and choosing a set for an F-Body? In a word..No! Contradicting myself? No, it's not for everyone [the look] I'm still not sure it's for me. The point is, it's YOUR car, and you should buy what YOU want, not what someone else thinks you should have. Oh, and the car handles just fine, thank you. Sticks real well, lots of rubber on the road.

Straight line performance is lower when the weight of the wheel is that far out.
I need sidewall to help my car hook up as well.

Please don't label me a 'hater' as that isn't the case.
I just go performance over appearance.

What does that mean? The track width?

If your into drag racing, then yeah, sidewall is very important. I'm not into dragging so tall sidewalls aren't that big a deal for me. I like handling.
