17's or 18's and sizes
Looking at new American Racing Rogue RIMs. Wondering if I should stay with the 17's I have now or move to 18's. If so what size would be the best in the 18's. Dont want to have to worry about new studs or anything if possible.

imo, 18's are the perfect size rim for our cars aesthetically. but tires, obviously are more expensive with 18's, especially if you want 9" + wide.

if you get a shorter sidewall on the 18's it wont change much. measure the total diameter of the tire you want and as long as it's same diameter of the tire on 17's you'll be fine. Originally Posted by Speed_kills_WS6

I run 18s all around. 275/35 up front and 295/35 in the rear. 18" tires jump up quite a bit in price compared to 17s though.

if you're trying to race the 18's will have more rotational mass so you might loose in economy and acceleration
