01 Best Black Rims?
I am wanting to put some black rims on my TA WS6 and would like some feedback or suggestions about which are best or best looking. I really dont want to spend a fortune on them since I also want to put some new tires on as well. Please post some pictures if you have already done this. I would love to see what other owners are doing.
Thanks,
scooley

The 2001 vette wheels are the lightest from what I've heard. Followed very closely by the 2001 Camaro SS wheels. Here's a pic of my '99 with C6 rims powdercoated black.

Your hugger orange Z will look damn hot with them on it. I had to get a 1.5" spacer to fit em under. Here is a couple more pics of them up close. Unfortunately I had a little run in with a guy while I was on the highway. So the pics of the rims arent a perfect rim. But here you go anyway

The rims are damn hot in them. Also, if you put on the aniversary style decal on that hugger orange, maybe a combo with white and black...that will set the rims off. Its all about getting things to coordinate.

This is what I mean by that. I am not proud of what I did...well sort of. I made a cavalier look damn good. Check it out...

I feel for you bro, my first car was a '90 honda civic hatchback with fake vents on the hood, stickers on the rear window and a huge muffler, woot! 70hp (im not even kidding... seven-zero) I later sold it and bought my second car which was a '93 nissan maxima with a big jump in power, all the way up to 190hp, which I thought was so badass, the clutch finally died and that was the end of my adventures in japanese cars.

Wow, how much is that damage going to cost you to fix? I hope you inflicted more on the other car!

I dunno. I hit the guy...or he hit me...we were both wrong. I was doing a buck thirty on the highway, and this guy decided that he wanted in my lane a few hundred feet before me. So I got as skinny as I could, but ended up clipping him a little bit anyway. The total damage is $5200 (which insurance is covering thankfully). But thats using GM parts. Not stuff from salvage yards. But everything will be fixed with the exception of the decals. They will reimburse me for those

Not really, what are you going to put them on?? A black T/A...NO, that wouldnt look right. The only colors that you might...and I stress might be able to get away with it is red, or white. Even then anything else that you do to the body wont really go with the rim. Gloss black is the way to go, especially if you want to put on a decal...which will really compliment the rim. But its just my opinion

Oh yeah, forgot, those rims are not OEM rims...meaning that they arent as light as the OEM ones are. If you want a gloss black, have them powdercoated. It will probably be cheaper anyway.
