wtf firebird body styles

can someone please explain to me the deal with firebirds 98-02. Ive been looking around at them and i cant figure out what the deal is with the two front bumper styles in combination with the hood and the wing. I thought i had it figured out but then everyone once in awhile i see a firebird with the firehawk front bumper and the trans am wing but not the nostril hood. Is it just people doing it aftermarket or did they just fuck around with factory body styles over those 4 years?

Theres other threads explaining this in full, but:

Front end with fog lights close together = trans am
Front end with fog lights towards the sides = firebird (v6 and v8 formula)
High spoiler = trans am
low / flush spoiler = firebird (v6 and v8 formula)
nostril / ram air hood = ws6 formula (v8 only) or ws6 trans am

The firehawk has a hood with nostrils, but they're different than the WS6 hood. They are not as tall.

there is no differant in the front bumper on a Firehawk. there is a firehawk trans am and a firehawk forumla. they have differant front bumpers but there both stock. now the newer firehawk forumulas do have a differant wing on them.

you can order a different wing for them.. and yes the firehawk bumper is different somehow then a regular one.. A buddy of mine got a firehawk hood but it wouldnt line up right with the stock bumper so he had to get the firehawk one too

the area were the hood comes down is differant, but the rest of it is the same. you cant tell by looking unless you put them togeather.

I think all convertibles have the low spoilers even if they are a T/A.
