I'm not positive as I am looking to do the same thing but I would think a good wash wax should shine it up pretty good. Under my hood is my next project so hopefully someone can give some good proven methods.

I tried a rubbing compound.. didnt work as well as I wanted but it helped a little bit. Clear will make it much shiny-er

I've used some Zaino ZPC on it and that made a good amount of difference. Im sure a good polish will bring it out a bit. It's hard to get much of a shine from it since its all just a bunch of overspray. They didnt care to put much attention into the engine bay.

I had a friend clean his engine bay normally then when he got to the car show he sprayed down everything with Armor All. I had never seen a black engine bay shine like that before.

Only bad thing is that it will be a mess after a couple days of driving and you will prolly have to clean the entire engine bay again. So I would only use that in the most extreme circumstances.

Myself, I just use a cleaner wax on my engine bay paint and it comes out nice enough.

well spraying that can be good but to eliminate all the over spray and clean up of a spray bottle for shiine, use on armor all wipes and its soo much better and more of a control for tight spots. FYI
