What to do with the ugly wires & hoses?
In the engine bay...visually speaking. I know some of the wiring can be moved/hidden and others covered. I have also seen people with colored wiring. Are these just painted?
What have you done and what would you recommend I do to clean it up?

Not painted...they're using colored wire loom that you can pick up at your local Autozone or Advance Auto Parts.

yuck don't do colored wire loom, no offense to anyone on this forum that has done it but for god sakes its so ugly and ricey. You're bringing attention to something that you're trying to hide? What sense does that make? There is a reason its black its so that it blends in and isn't as big of an eye soar so why draw attention to it? hide it or leave it alone when it comes to wiring...

I won't be using any colors. I guess I was more interested in cleaning up the wires. Mine are all faded/torn and just look ancient.

Just buy a bunch of new Black flex loom and electrical tape, strip off the old then try routing it a little different/better; then re-tape, loom, and wire tie it.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
you're in my boat, bro! I'm currently deleting/hidding a LOT of stuff.
1) move your TCS gizmo behind the PCM box
2) delete the air system along the driver's side
3) hide the wires on the passenger side
4) replace the fuel and vaccum lines with some sexy braided steel tubing
5) delete the EGR system and install block offs.
6) clean or paint then retape your coil pack wiring-that will help a lot.
Good luck man!
