I can't decide wich color to get of headers..... their are three options

    All from www.jet-hot.com

    1. Extreme Sterling- would match all my shinny engine parts

    2. black - woul match valve covers ,tpi plate, body and all the other stuff

    3. jet hot 2000 - like a crinkle finish ( wich woul match my black crinkle vavle covers.

The headers will be hooker 2210's ,(yes ive read the sticky on em...)

Here is a pic of the black vs. the extreem sterline

Good rule of thumb, the darker the color, the longer the coating is going to last. The complete oposite USUALLY is stated about chrome or shiney (on exhaust)

Sorry it took me a bit, Black should last the longest, if applied properly. Silvers will not last as long, but with the "studies" Im talking about the companies that produce ceramics are saying a couple hundred hours diff. between one and the other.

Just trying to throw info out there that might do you some good.

Between 1200 to 2400 hours (in the tests). The huge range is due to the fact that no matter how you apply the coatings, even with machines, the thickness can vary up to 2 thousandths of an inch. That doesnt sound like much, but if you consider ceramic is ideal at 3 thousandths it is a big diff + or - 2 with that being said, you will more than likely get more than less if you are buying from a reputable company.

And just to clearify, these tests are salt spray tests which is the industry standard, not a test of putting headers on cars and running them.
