what % should I tint my car?

I cant make up mind. and the state law doesnt mean shit to me. Im thinking 15% on the sides and rear or 5% on the sides and rear. But im worried I wont be able to see out of the car with 5%. How hard is it to actually see? I want to make it pretty fucking dark Help me decide. Right now there is no tint on the windows. I used to have 15% but i had to remove it. Now my windows are untinted and im trying to descide what to do?

I had 5% all the way around on my last TA and loved it. It did make it a little hard to see escpecially backing the car up in unfamiliar territory, but it looked awsome. Im gonna get 5% on my new car when I have it done, Black car with dark black tint is soo sweet.

Just dont do limo tint. I had a hard time seeing out the back window at night ( police headlight recognition) and had a hard time at night with the windows up looking inot the side view mirrors.

Yea, 5% is pretty hard to see, especially at night time. Does look sick though. Then there's the tickets..I got two tickets with my Solara before just ripping the tint off.

Gonna be going with 15 or 20% on my Z. I don't need the hassle.

Why don't you care about the state laws? Do they not inforce them there? I probabally wouldn't go more than 15%. I don't think anything less is beneficial unless your hiding in a limo. I had a black G6 with 35% and it wasn't quite dark enough.
Why did you have to take the tint off?

I talk to a couple of officers around town and they dont really care how dark the tint is just as long when they pull you over that the windows are down. and they said they wouldnt give tickets for it. So when I said I dont care about state law I ment the tint % becuse my state doesnt enforce it and really dont care that much about it.

15% will work real nicely. I've got it on my truck all the way around and i find myself sliding the rear window open so I can see at night when i'm backing up. It gives you just enough so where its harder to see in but not as severe as 5%

I finally made up my mind. Im getting it tinted next week. One layer of 5% on the sides and rear. B4 I had 15% all the way around plus one layer of 30% on top of that. But anyway im getting 5% and I figure if I change my mind I can just call them and tell them to go lighter, But I dont think I'll be changing my mind.

I'm prolly the only one that doesn't like tint too dark. I prefer %35.

I went with 5% all the way around (including my t-tops) and then I went back and had another 5% added to the already 5% door windows to make them insanely dark

Could you see? How much darker was that than one layer of 5%? Would that be as dark or darker than doing 5% plus wearing sunlasses. Trying to fiure it out hear.

With just the one layer of 5% you can see fairly easy at night with the two layers of 5% about all you see outside at night was headlights of a vehicle, in the daytime it was fine I dont wear sunglasses so I couldnt tell you if it was the same but I had no problems in the day seeing out the tint and people cant see in so that why I wont do anything but 5% on my vehicles

i have 5% all the way around and i love it...i figure i will have my windows down most of the time and i do get pulled over and get a ticket for tint it doesnt matter whether i have 5 or 15% both are illegal. At night time i just put the windows down for a second while i back up. Go for the 5 you wont regret it. No tickets yet.....knock on wood.
