    2001 Trans am

    Trans Am emblem question

    i want to paint the Trans Am letter on the doors. anyone done this before? if so whats the best way to do it? paint?, matarials used?...etc

    I painted mine. Take them off and sand them down completely to the black plastic. I just used spray paint, and then cleared them off. Nothing special, came out good.

    are you just wanting to be a different color ? if so its a lot easier to just order decals paintin em does look a lil better tho

    Use something plastic like a credit card, or putty knife. Use a heat gun, or just leave it out in the sun for 30 mins. You'll need some goo-gone or some wd-40 to get rid of the adhesive.

    To put them back on, just grab some emblem tape from any auto parts store. It's 3M brand.

    we could sell you a set of them painted to your preference. That way you're not risking sanding it and breaking one or having inconsistancys in the paint. Not to mention, the glue on the back of them is a PITA to get off
