touch up paint?
has anyone ever used any? and what is the outcome did it match or stick out like a sore thimb? Also are there any tricks to applying it to get a smooth look?
Reason i am asking is i washed my car and then took it on a little cruise. When i got home i was pulling it into the garage and pulled up to far and bumped the front nose of the bumper on some plastic shelves and chipped a shit load of paint off of it. I have some touch up paint i use for my lid that is the same color as the car. Also the front bumper was repainted in september of last year so it is still new and bright. So will the touch up paint match?

Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
Well my friends rez was repainted before and got keyed. We used touch up paint and i'm not gonna say you couldn't see it but it was definitely a lot better than the kay mark. We used the pen part not the brush. There are whole kits where you clean, paint, and clear. But just the paint alone looked alright.

White- 1998 FireBird Formula
i just used that duplicolor touch up paint from advanced autoparts. I thought it came out really well for just a temporary touch up till i can get the whole car repainted. I did the whole front bumper, took me 2 cans of the white and i also had to use some body filler up by the lisence plate. I haven't cleared it yet since this is just temporary i'm not to worried about it, but they do have the cans of clear also.

On my old car, I used DupliColor as well. Wasn't noticeable unless you knew where the spot was.

They mix your actual color for the year and model. You can then purchase a touch up bottle and brush or a spray can.
