Tips on painting LS6 Intake Manifold?

I'm about to purchase a factory ls6 intake manifold for my 99 T/A and I was thinking of painting it a Gunmetal/silver color. Do you guys have any tips for doing such a thing? My dad will help me and he's knowledgeable but I'd like to get your opinions. I figured there might be different things I'd have to do since it's made of thermoplastic and I'd probably have to buy some heat resistant paint. Let me know what you think! Thanks in advance.

mine is painted corvetted red. Just remove it and cover the openings and clean it well with a good wax and grease remover use a grey scothbrite with water and a good detergent like dawn to rought uphe surface, apply adhesion promoter( light coats as directed, preimer it white, grey or dk grey depending on the color your going for. Then basecoat and clear. No need for hight temp paint it's plastic and doesn't get that hot I just some leftover dupont vetter paint.
