Tacky?
So I'm doing appearance mods right now. When I bought the car it looked like a six banger, so I went with the 69 style z28 badges, painted the calipers red to set it off. My next job is the black hockeys, I've had my mind set on the ones I wanted for a while now, but when I decided on them I didn't have the z28 fender badges, the plan was to have a bowtie insert at the front of the stripe, would that clash with the fender badge too much? Here's a pic to kinda see what I'm working with here..

IMO could be slight overbadging. Hockey stripe by itself wouldn't look bad though. Just one opinion though, you do what you like, and screw what I think

Thanks, she's getting old, but still kicking (minus a power steering pump issue). 203k miles
Your Z is definitely nice looking as it is. It's funny how little things like changing badges make you look at a car with a totally different perspective. Once you get the stripes, all you really need visually IMO would be wheels

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
Move the Z badges to the front instead of even having the bowtie.

If mine were Arctic, I'd do a black plastic insert grill in satin finish like the SS but without the "SS" emblem of course.
Then the whisper mod in black, and the RS spoiler lip (in white), then do the burger in satin black..

sebring silver- Y2K SS CAMARO
i think the factory z-28 badges with the hockey stripe would look decent. i prefer the GS stripes like i have on mine jsut because there suttle and break up all the single color on the car

Smittro, ima look into the whole rs spoiler lip idea, sounds neat. i made a quick paintshop of what i first had in mind, which includes the bowtie at the front of the stripe, which i most likely will not do. im more worried about the stripe and fender badges being goofy looking now. keep in mind im not an artist

can you get the stripe solid where that bowtie is? so it's one continous black line, then install the Z badges over the black? The next thing I would suggest is apply the existing sripes, less the bowtie, and *have someone* make a z emblem that fits that long-thin location (like a c6 styled z28) which is the polar opposite of the vintage vibe you're trying to establish.

I'd have to look around, not something I've really ever had in mind for my car, so i never gave it much attention. Surely there is someone out there who makes a solid stripe. 4th circle has a none option for text, but I bet they still leave the gap.

old pix of my zee with hockey stripes and yes you can fill in the gap its just how you put the decal on. Like now I have no gap with my hockey stripe but here I have L S 1 in the gap. also I left my chrome z28 badges on and you tell me if its to much and clashes with the hockey strips.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG] and now this is how it look with the hockey stripes[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]
