Steering wheel conversion
I was wondering if anyone knew if a 2001 corvette sterring wheel could be used in a 2001 trans am. I like the look of it better and want to keep the airbags.

I've thought about this too. One thing is you wouldnt have your steering wheel controls, and you would have a big corvette emblem on the front so it would look a little out of place. bump for anyone who's done this

I don't mind the corvette symbol. Besides I got Corvette all over the engine. I currently don't use the controls because I got an aftermarket audio system. I just need to know if it is a bolt GM type of conversion or do I need any replacement conversion parts. Anyone got some info? Thx

I did some more research and found it supposedly it cant be done because the steering columns are different shaped. And the steering wheels are different depths so it wouldnt line up right.
However, thats all heresay, no factual proof. Has anybody tried it?
Not to mention, what about gto steering wheels? new camaro? Theres lots of vehicles where the wheels might look okay on a different steering column, if they bolt up that is. And with no controls.

If I can't get another steering wheel with an air bag. Does anyone know of a good harness bar for racing seats and steering conversion?
