    SS hood on Z28

I've been wanting to change the hood line on my Z28 for a while now. Thing is, the only hood I've seen that really looks good is the "standard" ss hood. Anyone else done this mod? Is there any way to modify the hood's intake so that I can take the incoming cooler air and have it directed into the engine compartment to help cool it down a bit. Don't want to be cutting in holes at the back of the hood for structural reasons.

so you don't want it to be "ram air" as it is supposed to be? you want the air elsewhere right?

Well, as I understand it, the hood, at best, functions as a cold-air intake. I mean, how much ram effect can it have after going through not just 1 but 2 180* u-turns before it gets into the throttle body. I have a ram air kit installed from underneath, similar to SLP's, that works just fine, better than SS setup since it is ram air as well as cold air.

My main attempt is to give my hoodline a different look, and I would liek to make some good use out of the hood's intake by directing some of the incoming cooler air into the engine bay to help with cooling, without having to be too worried about the elements getting in the compartment and causing problems.
