    Sniper body kit installation tips?

I haven't nailed down which body kit i want but i think i'm leaning towards this one: http://www.grounddynamics.com/Templa...ubFolderId=618 . This site also has a 10% discount on hoods when purchasing a body kit.

My car was recently in an accident and i need to replace the front bumper and hood. Cool thing is that insurance actually over estimated the value so i've got a good chunk of money to repair it.

So what i need to know is a few things:

    1. Does that site seem reputable? Their prices almost seem too good to be true.
    2. Anyone install a sniper body kit before? If so did it come with all the necessary accesories, i.e. tape, bolts, etc?
    3. I've never installed a bodykit before. How difficult is it do install a kit? Say compared to putting in an alternator or starter? (things i've already done).
    4. Should i have the body kit painted before i put the kit on the car, or after?
    5. Is installing a bodykit a 1 or 2+ person job?

Thanks for any help, tips, or resource links sited.

    Thank you.

Have you ever installed a bodykit before? I've seen links where it seems like the process only involves double sided tape, fasteners, and bolts. Seen the same thing on Muscle Car tv show this weekend.

In your opinion do you think its worth getting custom or stock replacement parts? To me it seems like the custom parts would add more value.

Stock parts are actually cheaper if you take the time to really look for the parts. Some over the top body kits will actually lower the value of your car. Most people will want a clean look like a stockbody with minor GFX like a lower fascia lip, extented rocker panels, or a widebody. It's all in your opinion. As far as installation, kits usually use the OEM spots and use shims to line the panels up. The kit you were looking at is a whole bumper so it will use the factory mounting locations with shims. Hard to shim up to be honest. A good body kit installation will show no signs of misalignment and whatnot. Double sided tape is used in some kits to make it al flush or to hang the panel in place properly first, but bolts, screws, or clips should be used to secure it in place

Will this kit most likely have instructions? Ha ha.

Personally do you think that kit is a nice looking package? I'm looking for something not to fancy. Exactly how you put it, not too over the top. Clean is what i want to achieve.

I would be nervous about their kits or any ones elses. Usually after market kits fit like crap, your better off getting the rs kit from GM.
