    side molding???

Ok i just bought a z28 and it I need some help. ON the door molding and the side molding on the car the previous owner painted it black on my red car. I was wondering is there anyway to just strip the moulding off and leave it off or will it look bad? I mean how is the molding attached. Thanks in advance

If your talking about what I think your talking about. You can just peel it off when it's heated. It's only held on with double sided automotive tape. But only do it when it's hot, cold will not work. Please post pics, so I can make sure I'm answering your question properly.

If it is indeed the moulding on the door, then yes.. you can peel it off. You might see some discoloration from where the sun has faded the paint around the area that was covered by the moulding. I'd check one of the smaller sections before removing all of the moulding.
